Our take
This Traktor S2 feels like a proper club mixer in a compact form. The integrated 24-bit sound card is great for direct laptop connection, and the 3-band EQ plus filter gives solid tonal control. The 8 pads are responsive for cue points and loops. I appreciate the dedicated mic input and headphone cue mix. On the downside, no phono input means no turntables without extra gear. Also, the 8 pads are fewer than some competitors. At $300, it's a reliable workhorse for Traktor fans, but the pad count might feel limited if you rely heavily on sample triggering.
